  1. Different exchanges use to have different rates. Many people are looking for the cheapest exchange to buy bitcoin. Now I'm looking for the exchange I can sell bitcoins for most euros - cash (this option is not universal, though) - bank account - ATM (like a prepaid card) Different exchanges have different 'pain factors,' as far as the registration process goes, like how many data you have to give out about yourself. I heard German people are privacy conscious. then, there are things like business models: on Bitcoin.de you have to share bank account details with a stranger, not with the central exchange (again, privacy), and not only that, but you also have to be on alert looking for a counterparty to take your trade, not just fire and forget. All in all, what's the best exchange for this purpose?
  2. Say, I want to ask something like this: https://www.coinforum.de/topic/3940-cheapest-trustworthy-place-to-buy-bitcoin-for-eur-vs-place-to-sell-bitcoins-for-highest-eur-price/ BitcoinTalk.org, though they speak English, they do not have region specific sub-forums, like a sub-forum for the Eurozone, 19 or so countries, where quite a few people speak English as a second language, expect for tiny Ireland (where it is considered first language). Germany is the largest economy in the Eurozone, so even if I am not German but want some Eurozone specific bitcoin talk, a Germany specific forum might be a good start. BitcoinTalk.org has language specific sub-forums (like talking about bitcoin in the German language), but not region specific sub-forums like talking about bitcoin in the Eurozone or Geramny, but in English. If I ask the above, Eurozone-related question in the general section of the BitcoinTalk forums, it will not be very well targeted to BitcoinTalk forum members of Eurozone countries, most will be Americans. And UK-ish. This is all bonkers, if I have to come to the German forum to talk bitcoin-Eurozone in English. What do you think?
  3. This is 2 questions in one: - I want to buy bitcoin in EUR, at best price - I want to sell bitcoin for EUR, again, for the best price Logic tells me these will be 2 separate exchanges. There are quite a few markets available - thankfully - to choose from, some which come to mind: Bitstamp (UK, Slovenia): they convert EUR to USD, for better or worse; but is it necessary or they just overcomplicate it, if I want to buy BTC in EUR for cheap? Bitcoin.de "bitcoin made in Germany" - they sell bitcoin consistently higher than Bitstamp, but they might be good for my other purpose; selling bitcoin for the best price in EUR. Kraken (US, Germany) Anycoin Direct (Netherlands) LiteBit.eu (Netherlands) CoinBase (USA, EU) I wouldn't touch BTC-e with a 3-feet pole, maybe The question is, which 2 exchanges are best for my 2 separate purposes, without bothering to open accounts with all of them?
  4. ClevverMail.com (Berlin) who advertise all over Google AdWords would be the obvious choice; they are very affordable (they have an - almost - free plan), but I don't like the fact they made the mailing address public on their site. Now everyone knows it's a mail forwarding address; it's not professional in my view: Borsigstr. 9 10115 Berlin You should never publish your mailing address on your site, if you are a mail forwarding business; as Pay As You Go Post (London) don't do it: Q: What kind of address will I be given? A: A real UK street address (not a PO Box). The address is of our prestigious offices based in Central London (EC1). The full address will be released to you when you sign-up (we do this to prevent unauthorised use). Example of address formats: For Business use: "Your Business Name" Office/Suite/Unit XX 67-68 Street Name London EC1N XXX For Personal use: "Your Name" Flat/Apartment XX 67-68 Street Name London EC1N XXX maildrop24 (Stuttgart) aslo has a no-nonsense policy: Q: Can I open a bank account using your address? A: Yes, of course, you can use your mailing address like any other. During the therm you can use it for example for: -Business card -Letter paper -Lottery cards -Advertisement -Marketing documents -Imprint website -Bank accounts -Webaccounts ….and much more Unfortunately they are not smart enough not to publish their address on their site as well: Libanonstrasse 85 70186 Stuttgart. Did I mention they are $$$? EUR240 a year for a street address. sure, they make a profit. I don't know, Germans don't know how to operate a mail forwarding business? (Sorry about that) Hey German mail forwarding businesses: DO NOT PUT YOUR ADDRESS ON THE SITE. Any other viable options?
  5. Update: BITSTAMP SEPA account "no transfer" countries/banks' list (upd 2014-03-27) Banks blocking transfers: Norisbank, Hypovereinsbank Banks allowing transfers: ING DIBA, Sparda-BW Bank, Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Nürnberg, Sparkassen Question: The banks blocking the transfers also tend to close your account as well, or simply do not allow for transfers to Bitstamp? Well, maybe depending on your volume. How about DKB?
  6. Topics/Themem tab on my profile shows all the topics I am participating. However, Posts/Beiträge tab does not show all my posts. Thanks
  7. That is I guess for my side question. And to my main question? Thanks
  8. It requires a German bank account which I do not have. What's the best way to proceed with such a deal? LocalBitcoins? Might be too complicated. It's denominated in either EUR25 or 50. It is anonymous and you are allowed to pass it on, if you read the description. (On a side note, which is more popular in Germany? LocalBitcoins or Bitcoin.de?)
  9. I heard and read some or many(?) German banks close your account if you trade with Bitstamp. Some reliably not? Maybe it can be even worth the hassle to hop on Ryanair and open an Eastern European EUR account in Slovenia/Slovakia/Estonia/Latvia?
