Ich mache mal einen Thread für diesen ICO auf. Habe selbst gerade ein wenig investiert, da es aktuell 40% gibt. Aber was ist Serenity? Ich kopiere mal bisschen was von deren Seite:

Problem

In summary, traditional regulation of the market is ineffective, outdated, and cannot be relied on to protect investments of retail clients. Nevertheless, blockchain can solve the problem. That is why we created SERENITY.

 

SOLUTION

We have created SERENITY — a blockchain platform that protects the interests of traders and investors. We ensure security of traders' funds by placing them on SERENITY smart contracts. The contract is created and structured to ensure that funds transfer proceed only by the mutual consent of the trader and the broker. If a conflict occurs, SERENITY can mediate in the transaction.

For the decision to be transparent and legitimate, SERENITY records digital signatures of broker-trader interactions in blockchain. The technology reduces commonly associated financial risks for traders in any part of the world.

Die Token werden zur Verwendung der Platform benoetigt. Dabei ist Serenity eine der wenigen, die diesen Markt erschliessen wollen. Ich sehe hier also gute Chancen auf Wertsteigerung. Auch interessant ist, dass die Token, die verwendet werden danach verbrannt werden. Es wird also immer weniger Token geben, wodurch der Preis bei (zusaetzlicher, angedachter) steigender Nachfrage auch steigen wird.

 

Die Developer scheinen auch schon recht viel Erfahrung zu haben, Partnerschaften gibt es auch (unter anderem mit iqOption)

Die ist aber nicht unbedingt sehr zutreffend. Finde den ICO gerade interessant, da die Entwickler Erfahrung mitbringen und auch bereits Partner haben.

Heute kam im Newsletter eine Erklärung wie das System später funktionieren soll:

 

1. Escrow – securing funds via smart contracts

This is how it works: A traders register with Serenity and makes a deposit in fiat money or cryptocurrency. Serenity converts the funds to Ethereum according to the current rate and places them on a smart contract. The broker then creates a trading account for the trader, with the balance that is equivalent to the deposited amount. The trader’s funds are kept on the smart contract for the whole time. The funds are released and transferred either to the trader or to the broker only after a withdrawal request is made and only if both parties agree with the trading outcome. The smart contract can only transfer funds to the trader or to the broker, which makes it impossible for any third parties to lay their hands on it. In case of any disagreements between the trader and the broker, Serenity makes the final decision.

How did we come up with the idea? We took the concept of segregated accounts (when client funds are kept separate from the funds being used for trading), which is an obligatory requirement of FAS (The British financial regulator) and modernized it to the new blockchain approach

2. Recording trading operations in the blockchain

We use blockchain to avoid interference from a broker in the trading process or trading results, history of all trades must be recorded with absolutely no chance of forgery.

How did we come up with the idea? This idea also comes from the traditional regulatory environment. For example, ЕС (MiFID and EMIR). They have always demanded records of every trading operations, but have never had the resources to store them securely. Blockchain clearly solves this problem.

3. Verifying the quotations

Verify My Trade system analyzes the asset quotes from more than 100 providers. If the price significantly differs from an average quote, the trade will be canceled.

How did we come up with the idea? Quotes from the majority of brokers are publicly accessible, so nothing prevents us from analyzing them automatically. Verify My Trade system uses a box plot method to segment trades by execution quality at any given second.

4. Cryptocurrency exchange

Serenity will launch a dedicated cryptocurrency exchange. You can already see the prototype here. With Serenity exchange you will be able to:

• Deposit/withdraw funds in any cryptocurrency and fiat money
• Trade cryptocurrencies.
• Invest in Fund Performance indices. The exchange will offer the liquidity to all brokers in its ecosystem.

How did we come up with the idea? We tried to foresee possible problems the traders could face when shifting to our platform and decided to create a dedicated exchange for a fast and easy cryptocurrency purchase.

Wie ich gerade gesehen hab, gibt es auf der Seite auch die Möglichkeit eine Wallet zu erstellen. Bleiben dann die Tokens auf deren Seite und man kann diese dann später verwenden? Ich kenne mich mit MEW nicht aus, bzw. habe nicht soviel Kapital, dass es bisher interessant gewesen wäre.

Wo hast du das gesehen? Habe nochmal geguckt und es scheint nur MEW zu gehen. Du hast eine "Balance" auf deren Seite, die zeigt aber denke ich nur an was in deinem MEW liegt. 

Bezahlen kannst du sonst auch mit BTC und Bank wire. Da muss man dann nicht den Umweg ETH auf MEW senden und von da zu Serenity gehen. Allerdings sind die BTC Gebühren deutlich höher als bei ETH

Der Coin hält sich tatsächlich noch erstaunlich gut. Das Team scheint sehr aktiv zu sein. 

 

Aktueller Preis in ETH: 0.00009211. Beim ICO war der bei 0.0001, aber es gab ja hohe Rabatte (z.B. 40%). In ETH ist dieser Coin also sogar gestiegen. Das können glaube ich nicht viele ICOs aus der Zeit behaupten. Zumindest nicht die anderen, die ich gekauft habe.
