Das ist auch cool:

The deal was that if 10 different people requested to use bitcoin on the hotel’s website, then GoCityHotels would start accepting bitcoins. With the power of the internet spreading the news like wild-fire, more than 200 requests from around the world began popping up. It was due to Sammy’s reddit post that prompted /r/Bitcoin’s sudden response in just a 24-hour time frame.

However, the group’s plans for Mt. Gox hit a snag yesterday. It remains unclear whether Sunlot and its supporters can make a compelling case for the revival and the settlement decision has been delayed, as Mt. Gox bankruptcy trustee Nobuaki Kobayashi appears to be pushing for Liquidation.

The matter is not likely to be resolved until the summer, since most of the Japanese and US hearings have been scheduled for June and July

Sehr schlüssige Argumente in diesem Artikel!

Bitcoin’s volume-weighted price on the Bitstamp exchange fell -2.5% over the last seven days, to $435 yesterday. One of the month’s top stories came out just this week, when Bloomberg announced that they are now offering Bitcoin pricing to all 350,000+ subscribers worldwide. You can now pull up live BTC prices on a Bloomberg terminal, read the latest top news stories, create charts and track all kinds of Bitcoin related data. In a similar development, Yelp added an “Accepts Bitcoin: Yes/No” icon to all store pages on their site. In the same way you can see if a restaurant has outdoor seating or if a bar has a happy hour, you can see if they accept Bitcoin.

Pantera Update: In order to be more timely and thorough, analysis and in-depth research previously published in the BitFlash Weekly Review will now be published in Pantera's periodic White Papers, which will also appear on our website.

Winklevoss Twins to List Bitcoin Fund on Nasdaq

http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2014/05/08/winklevoss-twins-to-list-bitcoin-fund-on-nasdaq/

The SEC statement on Bitcoin: the government is doing everything they can to stifle the Bitcoin trade

Perhaps this SEC statement has something to do with Mastercard’s Bitcoin lobbyists. Mastercard is paying $70,000 to a group of lobbyists who are focusing on Bitcoin, their job is to discredit Bitcoin, since Mastercard sees Bitcoin as a threat. http://thehill.com/business-a-lobbying/business-a-lobbying/204733-mastercard-lobbying-on-bitcoin
