With a range of eye-catching partnerships coming to fruition and development activity breaking all-time records, the ecosystem has enjoyed a spectacular start to 2023. Polkadot was top among all Web3 networks for all 3 months, peaking with a record 19,090 developer contributions in March. A new iteration of XCM, Polkadot’s standard for cross-chain communication, was rolled out, unlocking bridges to external networks, NFT exchanges, improved programmability, and more. A total of 59,004 XCM messages were sent during the quarter. More than 2,96m DOT was bonded through nomination pools by the end of the quarter, more than tripling the amount bonded at the start of the year. Developers working on Polkadot’s native smart contract language ink! released an upgrade, and by the end of March 2,551 WASM smart contracts had been written in ink! Das ist wirklich interessant, zumal wie gesagt bei mir im Browser jede (harmlose) Extension diese Rechte besitzt. Auch wenn es bei Installation scheinbar verpflichtend ist, das anzunehmen, kann man es im Nachhinein auf bestimmte Webseiten einschränken oder sogar auch nur bei Klick spezifisch erlauben. Die Rechte auf Kamera etc. verweigere ich sowieso immer, falls nicht zwingend nötig. Ich vermute einfach mal, dass ein späteres Abschalten oder Einschränken der Berechtigungen über der Entscheidung beim Installieren steht und nicht umgekehrt.

Hm. Hast Du bei denen irgendwo so etwas gelesen? Ich hatte beim installieren nicht sehr große Aufmerksamkeit darauf gerichtet, erinnere mich aber, dass es eine Info gab, die besagte, dass eben genau keine Daten auf Servern gesammelt werden. Erleuchte mich. (Bislang war ich aus Vorsicht auch nur im "Address Only" Modus und habe das Plugin off, wenn ich es nicht gerade brauche.) EDIT: Jetzt habe ich es in den Einstellungen gefunden. Nun ja, man kann und sollte wohl die Webseiten einschränken. Ich gestatte z.B. nur polkadot.js. Alle Dapps laufen weiterhin über deren normale Extension. EDIT2: Die Berechtigung zum Lesen und Ändern aller Daten hat ja aber jede Extension. Z.B. auch der Google Übersetzer. Diese ganzen Dinger kennen meine Passwörter und können die ändern? (Also theoretisch, mit e-mail Bestätigung etc.) Das wäre strange.

Stables. Wer braucht sowas? Einfach alles in DOT. Ca. 20%p.a. Einkünfte aus Staking monatlich auscashen und als Einkünfte am Ende des Jahres versteuern. ein schönes Nebeneinkommen mit schwankendem Wert, je nach Marktlage. Irgendwann dann evtl. die DOT Einlage steuerfrei verkaufen, falls die Bullen doch nochmal rausgelassen werden. Ansonsten hat man halt ein hübsches Taschengeld auf unbestimmte Zeit.
