Es gibt "Kryptonite", ein erdichteter Stoff, der in den Comics von Superman vorkommt, es gibt auch ein Fahrrad-Schloss mit dieser Bezeichnung. Es gibt "Cryptonight", ein Computeralgorithmus auf Basis des CryptoNote-Codes, mit dem zum Beispiel die Coins Monero und Bytecoin geschürft / gemined werden.
