mit dem Zugpferd ETH vorne dran möglicherweise ein sehr aussichtsreicher Kandidat für 2018.

am 05.03.18 steht eine Hardfork & Airdrop an: https://forum.ethereumclassic.org/t/january-dev-update-commonwealth/404

alle ETC-Holder erhalten die gleiche Anzahl an Callisto (CLO).

Wenn man die Kombinationen BTC-BCH-(LTC) und ETH-ETC vergleicht, ist ETC im Vergleich sehr günstig zu haben (14.01.18: ~36€ )

@mvndekant: Dank dir für den Thread und deine Einschätzung.

Mit ETH im Rücken könnte ETC tatsächlich noch eine Rolle spielen in 2018 - die ersten Kursausbrüche nach oben sehen wir ja aktuell.

In den letzten 7 Tagen konnte der Kurs zeitweise von 30$ auf 46% zulegen und auch im 24h Trend gibt's aktuell wieder ein Plus von knapp 4%.

Für 2018 könnte ETC tatsächlich in den 3-stelligen Bereich vordringen.

@mvndekant: Kannst du etwas zum Fork bzw. zum Erhalt der Callisto (CLO) sagen? Wie läuft das genau ab? Bekomme ich die Callisto (CLO) auch wenn ich meine ETC in Exodus Eden liegen habe?

Denke auch, dass der sicher 100$+ erreichen kann.
Wenn ich mir mal ansehe wie schnell ETH von 800 auf 1400$ ging - dann wären 100$ bei ETC sogar schon bis zum Sommer (im Idealfall) möglich.
Sogar sehr wahrscheinlich WEIL ich nur ein Mini-Invest gemacht habe (!) vor ner Woche bei knapp 30$-Kurs :lol:
Hätte ich mehr investiert würde er sicher noch Monate vor sich hindümpeln... :rolleyes:

Achja - falls es jemand auf dem Schirm hat - welche Wallets eignen sich noch für den Erhalt von Callisto außer MEW?

Ein Kurs von ~ 100$ wäre schon ne feine Sache. :)

Ich sehe zumindest 60$ bis 80$ mittelfristig als sehr realistisch an, wenn man sich mal anschaut wie stark ETH performt.

ETCDEV have been maintaining and improving Geth since the fork, and going to continue this work with focus on architecture modularization, performance improvements and makign it more friendly for using in business environment. Classic Geth is a fork of ETH Geth but developed separately since October 2016, up to 50% of the current code is rewritten/replaced/removed

Next generation of EVM developed by ETCDEV team. It's a separate embeddable EVM, compatible with different types of Ethereum blockchains, compatible with IoT. ETCDEV is going to work on further improvements, parallel execution, optimizations for different hardware architectures and Just-In-Time compilation for EVM bytecode.

Emerald Platform /  github

Toolkit to build applications running on Ethereum ETC, contains UI Components, Libraries for Javascript and Rust, Icons, Build tools, etc. Targeting various platforms, such as Desktop, Mobile, Web and even Shell Scripting.

Sidechains

New project for 2018, sidechain implementation as native part of ETC infrastructure and protocols as a way to add scalability and bring ETC to IoT

Ethereum Classic – ein Protokoll für das Internet of Things?

Von einer Langzeit-Investment-Perspektive betrachtet ein von Grayscale (https://grayscale.co/) diskutierter Ansatz. Dieser Digital Asset Investment Trust hat schon im August einen Artikel (https://grayscale.co/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Grayscale-Ethereum-Classic-Investment-Thesis.pdf) über den Investment Case Ethereum Classic geschrieben. Gemäß dieser Analyse wird Ethereum Classic als ein optimales Transaktionssystem für eine IoT-Zukunft gesehen.

Über diese These, auf Basis derer Grayscale von einem Kursanstieg auf bis zu 150 US-Dollar ausgeht, kann natürlich diskutiert werden. So wundert es, dass gerade bei der Betrachtung des Use Cases Internet of Things nicht IOTA als Marktvergleich gewählt wird.

 

Aus meiner Sicht braucht ETC nicht die Rückendeckung vom ETH. ETC hat selbst genug Potenzial. Ganz im Gegenteil, würde ich mal sagen, dass ETC die eigentliche Rückendeckung/Ausfallversicherung für die ETH-Blockchain darstellt. Insbesondere, wenn man sich mal anschaut, was schon alles auf der ETH-Blockchain läuft, wird die Notwendigkeit einer "Versicherung" ganz klar und damit die Wichtigkeit von ETC und seiner Zwillings-Blockchain. Aber das ist nur ein Nebenaspekt von ETC.

Ich sehe, dass die es mit dem Thema "Internet der Dinge" (IoT) - wie von denen angekündigt - auch wirklich ernst meinen.

ETC habe ich zunehmend auch auf dem Schirm - gerade als Miner ist es bei der aktuellen difficulty vielversprechend. Viel wichtiger ist, dass sich ETC als bisherig nur als Fork wahrgenommene Cryptowährung nun zunehmend aus dem Schatten von ETH heraus bewegt, in dem es eigene Projekte anstößt. Die IoT-Fokussierung könnte sich als richtig erweisen.

Wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe, ist bei dem damaligen Fork der ursprüngliche originale Ether ETH in Ethereum Classic ETC umbenannt worden, und der beim Fork neu entstandene Coin wurde Ether ETH genannt, weil die Mehrheit (90%) für die Umstrukturierung der Blockchain war und einige (10%) dagegen...!? (vereinfacht laienhaft ausgedrückt)

In dem Fall schwer zu sagen: ETH unter Vitalik Buterin basiert ja ebenso auf dem original ETH-Blockchain wie ETC: Im Prinzip haben sich die Wege schlicht getrennt, ETC hat den unkorrigierte Blockchain weitergeführt, ETH den korrigierten. Wer jetzt hier der Fork ist ... schwer zu sagen, umgangssprachlich, insbesondere weil Buterin und der große Teil der Entwickler/Userbase beim korrigierten Blockchain verblieb, spricht man von ETC als Fork.
